There are different variants of the rambutan. What i like best is the “maharlika” variant because all the fruit is peeled off from the seed like the pic you see below.

This is what it looks like on the inside:

Its the same as this fruit called Pulasan which is found in Malaysia. The only difference is the outer “shell” which is harder than that of the rambutan.

Pineapple and banana is quite common here and anywhere so no special mention on these fruits.. heheheh

You can also buy these fruits in Manila… but double the price! Well that’s due to transport cost actually. You can also buy them in supermarkets packed and ready to eat..

OOOOOH, THE PAIN OF IT ALL

Img_0432_350_x_467

Picked up a mean little tooth infection back a few days. Tried to deny its existence for a few days until I woke up one morning looking like the photo.

Went to a dentist, he put me on antibiotics for 6 days to reduce the swelling. We will then take x-rays and determine whether or not a root canal is necessary.

Dentist was very professional and funny, a good combination. Office visit was $4.00. A root canal, if necessary, will be about $55.00. So, if it was to happen, better here in Cebu, than in Austin, where the whole procedure would be more like $800.00

WOMEN WHO LOVE THE MIRROR

My friend Keith, one of my run around friends at Indiana University said,
"Never trust a girl who can look in the mirror for over an hour at herself."
He also said,
"Look in her closet, and count the number of shoes."

I SEEM TO BE ATTRACTED TO WOMEN WHO HAVE A 'LOVE OF THE MIRROR'. DON'T GET ME WRONG, I AM ATTRACTED TO BEAUTIFUL WOMEN (DON'T ALL MEN THINK THE WOMAN THEY LOVE IS BEAUTIFUL?)....

BUT I SOMETIMES NOTICE THAT THE VANITY IS TELLING.....

AND MY ATTRACTION TO THAT KIND OF WOMAN....WHAT IS IT TELLING?

MISCELLANEOUS MANILA SHOTS

THE FIRST SHOT HERE SHOWS AN INTERESTING AD ON A MANILA BILLBOARD; THE SECOND SHOWS A BEAUTIFUL AND SERENE SPOT IN THE CENTER OF MANILA AT WHAT IS REFERRED TO AS GREENBELT 4. THIS IS A MALL AREA OF UPSCALE SHOPS, RESTAURANTS, AND COFFEESHOPS.

IT OFFERS A QUIET AND SERENE ESCAPE FROM THE USUALLY NOISY MANILA STREETS
